RJE Wins U.S. Navy Contract

RJE International was awarded a contract by Naval Oceanographic Office to supply emergency acoustic relocation beacons and supporting recovery equipment to assist in locating and recovering lost AUVs. These AUV’s are operated by Naval Oceanography Mine Warfare Center (NOMWC) based at Stennis Space Center in Mississippi. The ULB-350/37 underwater location beacons will be mounted in the nose cones of REMUNS 100 or Bluefin-9 Sealion AUV’s. In case the vehicles fail to complete their missions, the PRS-275 Pinger Receiver System will assist in locating and recovering the AUV. RJE International has a long history in supplying emergency subsea location equipment to the U.S. Navy and is committed to supporting these programs.
