ECA CSIP Debuts 5-Functon Electric Arm

ECA CSIP developed a strong 15Kg small 5 function electric arm with up to 50kg (110lb) jaw closing force and it is able to carry 25kg (55lb) horizontal at full extension (850mm). This arm could be, as well as our full arm range, oil free to be able to operate in restricted environmental conditions. ECA CSIP reports that it is first company worldwide to propose an oil free arm.
ECA CSIP is a Weymouth, UK based company with 15 employees. It specializes in remote controlled systems for hostile environments such as ROV design and maintenance and the design and manufacture of underwater manipulator arms. ECA CSIP furnishes more than 14 navies worldwide and industrial customers in offshore and Oil & Gas activities.
ECA CSIP was the first company to design an underwater electric arm in 2009. Since then, it has developed a full range of electric manipulator arms, 5 function as well as 7 function, according to the customer’s needs. These arms have been sold to laboratories, universities and ROV companies.
