Residents of Nova Scotia Decide on Subsea Cable


Image: Offshore Wind As Capebretonpost.com reports, residents of Nova Scotia have been asked for their opinion on the Maritime Link, a subsea cable project, which will supply Newfoundland and Labrador with Hydro-electricity. The public will submit their feedback on draft regulations, which were develop by the Utility and Review Board as part of the project. The 180-kilometer subsea cable will land at Point Aconi, Cape Breton after traveling overhead in Newfoundland. The review will determine if the project is in the best long-term interests of Nova Scotians.
