LinkQuest Delivers to NOCS

LinkQuest delivered a TrackLink 10000 ultra long-range USBL acoustic tracking system with integrated acoustic modem function to the National Oceanography Center, United Kingdom. This is the third TrackLink 10000 system delivered to the Center so far. The TrackLink 10000 system is an ultra long-range USBL tracking system capable of reaching a range of 11,000 meters using a directional transponder and a range of 7,000 m using an omni-directional transponder. The acoustic modem function is fully integrated with the USBL tracking function so that the typical acoustic interference between communication and positioning systems is avoided. National Oceanography Center is going to use the newly purchased TrackLink 10000 system to support the positioning and tracking of the Autosub6000 Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV). Autosub6000 is provided as a facility to the UK oceanographic science community for a variety of seabed survey operations using SONAR, photography and bio-geochemical sensors.
With advanced Broadband Acoustic Spread Spectrum technology and highly accurate and robust field performance, LinkQuest's TrackLink systems are the world's best selling USBL positioning systems.
