Exciting opportunity for a Marine Electrical Engineer with a progressive market leader recently honored with a Best Workplace award. We’re looking to add a flexible team player who wants to be part of a groundbreaking new, environmentally responsible direction in the industry.
Required: Accredited Electrical Engineering degree, PE license and 7+ years marine electrical design of Control and Power Distribution systems including:
• Design of Low & Medium Voltage systems, Fire Alarm Systems, Standby/Emergency Power Systems
• Familiarity with commercial marine standards including 46CFR, ABS, ABYC, & SOLAS; Specsintact/CSI/Uniformat Specs; TIA/EIA Stds – Telecom Wiring
Desired: Project management skills and knowledge of land-based facilities power systems and NEC are a plus.
Job Functions:
In a multidiscipline team environment,
• Determine, select, and specify power, lighting, and controls to monitor, operate, and control mechanical and electrical systems in commercial marine, industrial, and institutional facility applications
• Produce the plans, specifications, study reports and construction estimates for electrical designs
• Monitor and review on-site existing electrical systems, operations, and controls
• Improve existing system designs and/or specify retrofits for state-of-the-art components, equipment, and controls
