A recent change in our sales organization has opened up a very exciting opportunity for a dynamic Business Development professional. This person will be responsible for identifying, negotiating, and closing new Marine Systems business in specific geographic regions and market sectors. Success in this role will be achieved through intelligent market research & planning, solid execution of business & sales plans, and effective teamwork & communication.
Scope: Regional Sales accountability within our Marine Systems Sales & Marketing team.
Responsibilities:
• Acquire technical proficiency and knowledge of the Marine Systems product line,
• Creation & execution of marketing/PR campaigns,
• Implementation of creative sales strategies and plans,
• Forecasting and meeting sales forecasts,
• Independent /Team sales; working with network of International Agents,
• Processing, administration and management of sales accounts,
• Thorough record keeping of all contact communication,
• Preparation and editing of proposals, price sheets, power point presentations, and documents,
• Organization of test and trial deployments of product,
• Trade show and seminar execution,
• Related sales travel, and
• Department administrative duties as needed
Skills and Experience:
• Excellent interpersonal, organization and time management skills,
• Excellent communication skills with scientists, engineers and field technicians,
• Capable of meeting tight deadlines,
• Proven technology sales experience including product, sector or territory launch strategies,
• University degree or field experience in technical programs is advantageous,
• Experience with ISO 9001 and/or a high technology company are assets,
• Experience with CRM and ERP Software system an asset,
• A second language and previous travel is an asset
